About Alyssa Garbush
My name is Alyssa and, just like everyone else in this world, I'm definitely a mixed bag of passions and skills. Having a text box to sum up my professional life and abilities is pretty exciting!
Here are a few things you should know about me:
I am a data entry technician with Javelin Logistics.
I love data. This is not a joke. Everyone who knows me could truthfully say I am at my happiest when handed a spreadsheet of information. They'll also confirm I'm borderline elated when given a chart or infographic.
I type exceptionally well and rather quickly. The last test I took confirmed 92 wpm with 100% accuracy.
My biggest weakness is a rather astonishing ability to forget almost anything I'm told. I combat this by carrying a notebook with me and writing down anything that might possibly need to be recalled later.
My biggest asset is my burning need to research things. Anything that can capture anyone's interest will be researched to the fullest extent.
Two of my skills are apparently rather unique, according to the people that have looked at me askance and said "I don't even know why or how you just did that."
First, I love difficult people. If someone is temperamental or unpleasant to be around, I enjoy it. Life is difficult for everyone. I'm proud that people are open enough to share the rough edges of their personalities with me and appreciate the chance to help them succeed.
Secondly, I have an eye for blind spots. Everyone gets caught up in the big picture. That's important, we need people looking at the whole. My personally appointed job is to see the little things that might be slipping through the cracks. Through my job history I've been fortunate enough to have many supervisors willing to listen to and support my ideas for shining lights in the dark corners. I feel like everyone benefits when we take a look at the little things that have been glossed over.
If you need help checking your blind spots, feel free to contact me.
