I like to take a step back and make sure our goals make sense, and that our actions and our messaging aligns well with those goals. I like to ask: Are we focusing on the right area? Is there some skill, quality, technology or relationship we have that we can better utilize?
I have been in the public relations and marketing field since 2008, working with various organizations from PR agencies and nonprofits to restaurants and start-ups; most recently I've become specialized in the A/E/C industry. I started my experience as a published writer in 2003 and hold an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Broadcasting with an emphasis in Public Relations from Oklahoma State University.
I am the director of strategic communications at The McIntosh Group, a nationwide architectural design firm specializing in brand management, program management and accessibility solutions. We work mostly in the retail, restaurants, banking and hospitality industries.
