Basic culinary skills training

30 minute session - I will demonstrate and give instruction in basic food preparation techniques used by culinary professionals. Areas of instruction may include: proper knife use and care, food safety, understanding and following recipes, common culinary terms and techniques defined, effective time management in the kitchen, meal planning, consultation on cooking for special dietary needs, ServSafe Food Handler/Manager exam tutoring, consultation on cooking with autistic and developmentally disabled family members.
Training & Qualifications
I am a professional chef with 15 years of experience cooking in fine dining restaurants, including 5 years as a professional culinary teaching consultant, specializing in providing cooking instruction to adults with developmental disabilities. I am a licensed Certified Food Safety Manager, and a registered ServSafe exam proctor.
