60 minute biotechnology discussion

30

30 per hour - Virtual OK - Posted Mar 04, 2017

I will discuss with you any problem in biotechnology, synthetic biology, or chemical biology. This service would be useful for anyone who wants a better understanding of any aspect of these topics. However, this service would not be especially useful as tutoring for an academic class. We could even discuss the content of a particular scientific paper or general concept that you'd like to better understand.

Training & Qualifications

I am a PhD scientist educated at McGill and Harvard who is working in biotech. My job is to direct research for a small team of scientists and I still actively perform my own experiments. It's been a while since I've been through classes and so I'd not be much help with, say, homework problems, but if you want to better understand large concepts in biology/chemistry, I'm very qualified for that. I cannot discuss my work specifically but I can discuss many topics including chemistry, biology, synthetic biology, molecular biology, etc. I specialize in nucleic acid and protein science but I'm trained as a synthetic organic chemist.

Availability & Preferences

I'm normally free in the evening.
